Crow Park Workshop: Movement

This free event will take place remotely via Zoom. Limited numbers, booking essential.
Please
email Rebecca for more information and to book a place.

Join us for a workshop with Rebecca Beinart and Simone Kenyon, to learn more about Crow Park through sensory experience and movement. We will meet for an introductory workshop via Zoom, and go through some gentle and relaxing exercises to become grounded in your body and breathing, before visiting Crow Park. This session is an invitation to connect with all of your senses, and from there to explore the landscape.

We will share a 'menu' of simple actions to be carried out on site – from very subtle invitations to notice your environment, to more visible movements. This activity will explore different scales, timescales, and perceptions of the environment. Participants will be invited to carry out their chosen action on Crow Park, with the option to come back together to reflect on the experience afterwards. No previous experience necessary.

This is the second in a series of remote workshops taking place as part of an art project focussed on Crow Park, Keswick, as part of the Trust New Art Programme with the North Lakes National Trust. The workshop is open to anyone living in the local area. All activities will take into account current guidelines on social distancing and staying safe during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

Please register if you would like to attend, we will send out further information about the workshop to everyone who signs up a few days beforehand.

We will ask for information on any access needs. Children accompanied by adults are welcome.
