Connecting Threads Residency, July–October 2026
I’m excited to have be selected as one of the artists-in-residence with Connecting Threads in 2026, along with Savinder Bual. The residencies take place across 8 weeks between July–October and are fully supported opportunities for creative practitioners with socially and environmentally engaged practices to spend time along the River Tweed and respond to its unique ecologies and culture. During the residency, I will be exploring the boggt areas of the river’s source - engaging with the porous boundaries where wetness and land overlap.

Fabrica: Making Space Residency
Artists and sisters Katy Beinart and Rebecca Beinart will use their Making Space residency at Fabrica to review their collaborative practice, and specifically ‘Origination’, an ongoing project they began in 2008. Beginning as an investigation into their family history and migrations, growing into a wider project about the materiality, memory, and rituals of migration and diaspora, they have used performance, sculpture, film and other media to explore lost and invisible heritages.

Correspondences: Online exhibition with Five Years, 3-12 December 2021
Katy and Rebecca Beinart present a new body of research and artwork in-the-making, developed through a process of correspondence over the past six months. This online exhibition features new sculptures, installation, performance and digital works that emerge from their long-term collaboration Origination. Over a ten-day period, they will release elements of the project on the website.

This month I’m beginning a project that will run throughout 2020, as artist in residence at Crow Park in Keswick. I’ll be working with the North Lakes National Trust to run a socially engaged art project as part of Trust New Art. Through the project I’ll work with communities around Crow Park to respond to the site’s history as a picturesque ‘viewing station’, it’s role in struggles for land access and ownership, and to collectively build stories for the future.
